Latest Hot Tickets From the Alliance

October 06, 2009

Each week Alliance members submit "Hot Tickets" as a way of presenting new observations and ideas on investable opportunities to ChangeWave.

* Note: These Hot Tickets are for informational purposes only. They do not represent recommendations from ChangeWave.

(1) Add Some Bite to Your Performance

TOO95037 writes, "Under Armour (UA) recently signed a deal with Bite-Tech, Inc. to provide performance-enhancing mouthwear for athletes and weekend warriors. These bite appliances have been proven to improve strength and endurance during performance. NFL star Adrian Peterson was so impressed he became an investor in Bite-Tech. Hundreds of professional, college, Olympic and high school athletes are already using the device. In addition, Patterson Dental (PDCO) will be marketing it to dentists."

(2) Verizon and the iPhone

MIK6304 writes, "Being a loyal Verizon (VZ) customer and Apple (AAPL) Mac user, I was very disappointed when the iPhone couldn't be used on Verizon. There are lots of folks just like me who love Verizon and Apple products, and the moment the iPhone is available with Verizon – I'll be getting one. I bet we'll see a big surge toward Verizon when that happens."

(3) The Future of Slot Machines

TOM16070 writes, "Williams Industries (WMS), an Illinois-based company, has some of the most desired slot machines by casinos worldwide. In an overall flat marketplace, they continue to grow. Additionally, as casinos escape the credit meltdown and return to normal, the next generation of slot machines could be led by Williams. Their 'Time Machine' and 'Monopoly' machines are examples of full sensory experiences that show the future for slots."
