Alcon Inc. (ACL) Profits
March 25, 2009ACTION:
"Sell to close" 50% of the ACL May 105 Calls (ACLEA) for $1.75 or more
Dear Fellow Options Traders,
On March 3, we recommended you sell to open the ACL May 70 Puts and buy to open the ACL May 105 Calls (ACLEA) for a net credit of $2.65. On March 3, ACL was in the high $70s. Today, the stock is about $95 per share. We purchased the ACL May 105 Calls for 45 cents and, as of today, they are up about 300%.
300% is a good win. Let's take half of it. "Sell to close" 50% of the ACL May 105 Calls (ACLEA) for $1.75 or more.
We still have lots of time until expiration and in a market where acquisitions are being speculated about hourly, it could pay richly to keep some money involved.
The ACL May 70 Puts we sold for $3.10 look secure. No need to clear that side of the trade as we fully expect these puts to steadily become more profitable to us.
Have a great day trading.
